My son developed Tourette’s syndrome at age 4, worsening severely by age 10. He has co-morbidities, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and mood disorder which looks like bipolar, but doctors are reluctant to diagnose. He takes Seroquel, oxcarbazepine and Zoloft and has improved beyond measure. His tics are all but gone and when they do surface they are controllable. This makes him very happy and has increased confidence, etc. He does have surges of tics after a major or prolonged social event but all in all medication is a success.
