Zippo fluid spilled all over my hands and when I lit the lighter, the whole of both my hands caught on fire for about 20 seconds. They are very red and burning intensely.
I have been sleeping on a heat pad since a car accident in 2011, for pain. I have lost feeling in part of my back on the top layer of my skin, but the inside hurts, as I have since found out I have osteoporosis. My skin looks beyond bruised, burnt would be an understatement, almost dark blue. I can't sleep without the heat pad. The doctors say nothing, just shocked at the color, like in disbelief. Any help would be appreciated.
My cigarette lighter exploded while trying to light a cigarette. I got a burn on my lip, upper lip and inside my nose, and got blisters forming. I am using triple antibiotic ointment and 1000 mg of Tylenol every 5 to 6 hours for now. It is very uncomfortable and I may go to the emergency room, not sure yet.
I was using pliers to pull a sensor wire off the hot car engine. Thumb side of my hand near the wrist must've contacted metal. About 1/2 inch x 1/4 inch oval area got a thermal burn and the outside skin layer immediately peeled and curled. I had no pain. Three hours later the injury looks shiny as fluid seems to have been expressed from lower skin cells. I have not rinsed, but exposed to air.
I am an extraction artist. That being said I knew one day this would happen; it is like owning a snake, one day you are going to get bitten, it is just the way it is. I had butane flash fire burn my whole shin area all the way around. I have been in a wheel chair for 3 weeks applying triple antibiotic ointment on the thermal burn. They best way to describe is, leaving a hotdog in the microwave too long till it pops; that’s how both my shins look now. They started to look better, I am getting a heat rash, and then it goes back to normal skin.
I got a thermal burn from gas.
