With my urinary tract infection misdiagnosed by the general physician, I ended up in the hospital for 4 or 5 days. It caused epididymitis and severe orchitis in one testis. My testicle infection was treated with various antibiotics on drip and orally, and doxycycline after for a number of weeks. I was an outpatient for around a year. The infection was severe, the affected testicle has shrunk and become less fertile, it sits up higher in the scrotum. The right side was also affected due to becoming enlarged and I just had an operation to prevent torsion. Still have problems with both.

I have had orchitis, swollen left testicle with significant pain for over a month. I was tried on three antibiotics for my testicle infection. They helped some but not totally. I am on my fourth round with a new antibiotic called Augmentin. I am taking it for four weeks. We will see what happens.

I've been with one girl for 10 years I recently got epididymitis about a year ago, very painful. I was on antibiotics for the testicle infection, and the pain subsided, but there is still pain; it's been about a year now, I don’t know why.

I could feel the pain in my testicle whenever force was exerted on my waist. Anytime I had a bowel movement, discharge came out of my penis, followed by great pain in my testicles. When I touch them to get a feel, it feels like swollen tubes all coupled up together. It turned out I had gonorrhea which led to epididymitis. No drug(s) has so far resolved my case. I read online that an epididymal abscess may have already formed inside my epididymis causing the pain, and which needs to be cut and drained.

I got epididymitis in my right testicle and suffered pain in that testicle and my groin. I was examined, underwent an ultrasound scan and was then given antibiotics, twice a day for 7 days. The pain has not gone, I'm still suffering and the lump is still in my right testicle. I'm now worried.

All the symptoms of testicle infection I've read here, I have. I've gone to numerous doctors and some passed it off as hernia or varicose in that region; I took the antibiotics to no avail. Still screening the situation and I'm going to figure it out.

I am 25 and I have swollen epididymis on my right testicle since childhood. I experience pain after erection (if it's not ejaculated). I have never visited a doctor but tomorrow I am going to visit the urologist, because I am worried it might affect my married life!

I was diagnosed with epididymo-orchitis a while ago, and after the diagnosis I was give some antibiotics that was able to reduce the inflammation of the epididymitis tube and the left testicle. But my problem is that the pain on the left testicle has refused to disappear and it has eventually made me depend on ibuprofen as pain killer.

That fateful day, I started feeling a slight pain inside my scrotum, which I didn't do anything about. Before I knew one of my testes became bigger than the other one, and now the scrotum is enlarging gradually. I need help.
