After my cancer diagnosis, I immediately stopped running. There's lots of sanguine evidence for moderate exercise as beneficial in preventing the spread of cancer. On the other hand, running creates inflammation, and inflammation is thought to promote the conditions at the cellular level that are favorable for metastasis. I'm still exercising, but I'm limiting it to exercise that minimizes inflammation.
