I have had rhabdomyolysis 3 times. All the treatment methods were sodium chloride through an IV for over a week.

My 14 year old son was diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis literally four days ago. What started out as an outing after basketball practice, landed us in the emergency room. The rhabdomyolysis hit him rapidly. By the time we made it to the emergency room, my son was in so much pain, kidney levels were extremely high, electrolytes were all out of whack and he was severely dehydrated and hospitalized for 3 days, with over 20 bags of IV fluids. My advice, please make sure you or your child is hydrated when exercising.
