My husband was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma in December and did not do a PET scan until February 2017, and by that time it had spread into his lungs. I was also told that there is no cure for this cancer, and he is given chemotherapy pills to slow the growth. I'm wondering if it is because of my husband's age that they don't really care about curing him. I'm his wife and I'm so upset because there isn't anything I can do for him.
