I have been receiving treatment for a plantar wart located on the ball of my left foot for about 5 years now. The wart is painful and horrible looking. I feel very self conscious about it. I have had laser surgery twice, countless bleomycin injections and just two months ago I had extraction surgery. After the surgery I have noticed the incision is healing well but with a callus like texture, and there are several mini warts forming around the area. I mentioned this to my doctor and he said he had used the laser on them during the surgery, but that did not seem to work. I have missed countless work days and gym days healing and being self conscious about it isn't making things better. I do not know what other options I have.

I had not had a wart anywhere for 40 years until my wife developed one. About two or three months later I developed first one, then three on my left foot and one on the right. Apparently they can be transmitted by walking on the same floor as someone with warts. She had tried all the patent salicylic acid home remedies with no luck. She became frustrated and tried to cut it off resulting in a serious staph infection and weeks of treatment by a dermatologist. I have tried Dr. Scholl's over the counter freezing treatment about seven applications over three months with no result other than tenderness in the area of treatment.
