I have pain on the left side of lower back above the hip area. There is more pain when sitting but not when I lay down or walk. When sitting I can feel the pain on the left side and down the side of my left leg down toward my ankle. I went to a chiropractor for 4 weeks now but nothing has changed. I’ve been rubbing Active to relieve some pain but that’s not much help there either. I wonder how long pinched nerve lasts if you are trying to medicate yourself.

I get constant pain in my back and it swells and I need physiotherapy but cannot afford the private sessions. I have to go to the hospital and wait eight months. I wish the pains would all go away. I am getting a second opinion from another doctor about my back pain very soon.

Pain on right side rear end to ankle. Burning sensation in right ankle. Radiating over to left side, mildly. Been to DO 2x's for shots no help. Been to chiropractor 8 x's no help. Take aleve and ice it and rest it helps a little bit. Does not hurt to sit too much. Pain when standing or walking over 10 minutes. Have had this for 2 months and ready to pull my hair out. Any ideas???

I get numbness in my legs and feet after I've been sitting for more than 20 minutes. I get a sharp pain at the bottom of my spine when I move certain ways.

I've been having a pain behind my right shoulder blade for almost two months. I was told it was a pinched nerve. I recently had my wife massage and dig into the area. Since then, I've experienced numbness in my right hand and pain in my neck. I’m not sure if this made it better or worse. I'm taking 800 mgs. of ibuprofen, but it's only temporary. I'm going to see a physical therapist this week. I'm going to try deep-tissue massage, which I hope works. I'm reluctant to take methylprednisolone tablets. I'm hoping for the best. Good luck with alleviating your symptoms, everyone.

These are my symptoms: severe pain in the lower, middle end of my back; pins and needles in my hands and feet; and spasms in the muscles of my back. I had a back operation three years ago for a bulging disc.

I woke up this morning and was fine until I started to shave. It started on the left side of my lower neck and felt like a spasm going up the left side of my neck and head. Now the pain is severe and sharp when I turn to the left.

I am experiencing really bad back pain when sitting, walking or standing for long periods of time. I get a tingling feeling that makes me want to scratch. I think it might be a pinched nerve, but haven't been to the doctor yet.

My toes were starting to feel numb and I would get what feels like electrical shocks in my calves. After running many tests ruling out every disease possible they decided to give me an EMG and that is when they discovered an old pinched nerve injury in my back. Not at any time did my lower back hurt. With therapy they were able to redirect the pain back to my back, but I was told that the nerve damage means the numbness in my toes would remain. For now exercise and Advil are my treatments, I was offed main medication which I turned down.

Two weeks ago while cleaning up the house my lips on the right side of my face started to go numb. Over a short period of time the numbness and tingling spread from my lips to my forehead then to eyes to chin on my right side of my face - then down to my right hand - specifically the thumb and index finger. I went to see my primary physician who issued a CT scan - that came back negative, then an MRI with contrast - that also came back uneventful. Now she wants me to see a neurologist. I have suggested treating it as a pinch nerve before undergoing more tests.
