Three years ago I received chemotherapy with taxol. At that time I developed my ongoing problem of periodic limb movement syndrome (PLMS) where my sleep is disrupted, on an average of 20 times/hour. I was not aware of the PLMS until a sleep study 6 months ago. My symptoms, which began during the chemotherapy, are consistent daytime sleepiness and muscle fatigue, occurring almost daily. My doctor, a specialist in cancer survivorship, said taxol has been known to cause PLMS.
