I was initially diagnosed as hypoglycemic but after a year of following the regimen I still fell asleep driving. I was not even realizing that I was driving asleep. Later after a battery of tests I was diagnosed as narcoleptic. No smoking, alcohol, a regular sleep regimen and the addition of Ritalin has given me a new understanding of being alive. I used to fall asleep at anything that was monotonous. Now I can read books, drive long distances and do things that I never could have before.

I have been on Nuvigil 250 mg for years, for narcolepsy. The new insurance company I have doesn't want to pay for my 2 times a day 250 mg Nuvigil.
