This May my husband was diagnosed with pneumonia. X-rays showed lung cancer. The pulmonary doctor ordered biopsy but could not determine where cancer originated. CT scan of his abdomen showed pancreatic cancer. Lung cancer had metastasized to pancreatic cancer. He was sent to a cancer center. He was too weak for more than one chemotherapy treatment. He was kept in hospice. He died from respiratory failure in August, three months from diagnosis. I think a nodule, etc., in lungs should require exam and CT of pancreas upfront. Catch it faster.
