I was prescribed Neurobion, Spine Flx and APO-Baclofen and land and water therapy for lumbar disc disease by my neurosurgeon. I do not want to undergo lumbar spine surgery for the treatment of my lumbar spondylolisthesis and cervical stenosis. I am hoping that taking the above said prescribed medicines and having occasional land and water therapy will be strong enough to address successfully my lumbar spondylolisthesis and cervical myelopathy secondary to atrophy of my cervical spine.

I had L5 spinal injection 4 weeks ago for lumbar disc disease. Although the injection has improved my activities of daily living I’m experiencing pain approximately 4 hours after being on my feet. The pain ranges from numbness stabbing and spasms in my leg especially below knee. I have been told by the doctor to give it more time. I am trying to come off slow release morphine but was told I must stay on gabapentin. I’m keen to return to work but at the moment that’s not possible. The doctor stated possibly I may need more injections and if that doesn’t work will need a spinal fusion. Frustrating times as I just want to get back to normal life.
