My hypersensitivity pneumonitis (interstitial lung disease) was caused by Gordon's Mycobacterium from inhalation of steamy hot bathtub water (rather than from a hot tub which is the more usual cause).

In each of the instances of interstitial lung disease attack, I ended up in the hospital, on a ventilator, etc. I went to the emergency room with oxygen saturation in the 70s, and had our trip of a lifetime to Alaska pretty much ruined with a hospitalization for 11 of the 14 days. The other problem is that in each situation, I've gone to see my physician and there was nothing at all wrong with me. When these episodes have happened, it's been a shift from relatively healthy to dying without immediate treatment.
