I have just had my right ovary removed due to a large cyst. The operation went well but then the following day I woke up looking 9 months pregnant. I was sent to have a CT scan which showed I had internal bleeding from the operation. I was given a blood transfusion then rushed back into the theatre. The specialist confirmed that the internal stitching after the removal of my ovary had not held leading to the bleed. This can apparently happen 1 in 250 million people and I was just that unlucky 1!

My symptoms of internal bleeding are large purple bruises on arm, 3 inches by 2 inches gradually fading. I take Xarelto each day.

I have had internal bleeding for 3 years. Doctors have been unable to determine source. It has gotten worse last 2 months. I have transfusions weekly. Caregivers seem content to continue with present treatment.
