I had partial thyroidectomy in 1998, but my hyperthyroidism came back again in 2011. I experienced the worst symptoms just this August 2020; high blood pressure, anxiety, tremors, could not sleep even if I took sleeping pills, irritability, plus I am always angry. I even had acupuncture sessions to help me with my anxiety, but it all boiled down to low TSH levels. My doctor advised my thyroid has to be taken out already. I am afraid because of these symptoms but I am glad in a way that I am not alone. Hope to be well again somehow.

I’m a 27 year old female with severe heat intolerance, hand tremors, rapid heart rate with palpitations and skipped beats, losing all my hair, very dry and extremely itchy skin, rapid weight loss, body is exhausted but my mind never shuts off, occasional chest pain with shortness of breath, occasional vision problems, have to urinate 10 to 25 times and 4 to 6 bowel movements daily. I am always hungry and extremely thirsty, and have trouble sleeping. I’ve been taking 5 mg of Tapazole daily and it isn’t working for me.

All if a sudden I lost my appetite, was tired all the time, and weak. I lost 17 lb. and my primary care physician said it was all in my mind that I couldn't, eat even though the blood test showed I had overactive thyroid. I had to wait a month before I could get an endocrinology appointment. Since I've been on medication I feel 100 percent better but I haven't gained my weight back.

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 1975 because of a goiter growing in my neck. My thyroid was radiated and I have been taking Armour Thyroid ever since (except for a short time I tried Synthroid). I gained weight and my numbers got out of balance, so went back to Armour.
