My husband has had a hernia for more than 9 years now. The hernia is now in his sac and is extremely painful. The doctor for the present will not put in a request to have it repaired. He's taking 800 MG of ibuprofen and Tylenol daily and nothing is working to control the pain. High blood pressure and diabetes runs in his family and the doctor has advised him not to work out anymore. He's afraid that over time all those ibuprofen/Tylenol will damage his liver/kidneys!

I had a hernia on the floor of abdomen on the right. I had replaced floor with mesh, and now have pain around hip and especially in front between my leg and abdomen. I wonder if a new hernia has developed near the edge of the mesh. Walking and standing for long periods aggravate the situation.
