I had food poisoning from Promite on toast. The first time was from an already opened jar, my partner had Promite from the same jar with no adverse effects. The second time was a newly opened jar about 12 months later. After about one and a half hours I began having discomfort in my stomach and went on to suffer extreme projectile vomiting, 5 times in the first hour, with profuse sweating. After 4 hours it all abated. I had eaten Promite several times in the past years with no effects.

I travel for my job, and I ate some leftover spaghetti and meatballs that had been kept in a small cabinet fridge in my hotel room. Within 4 or 5 hours I became violently ill from food poisoning. It started with severe stomach cramps (felt like a band around my stomach being tightened), then diarrhea, vomiting, no energy, and pains throughout my body. Just hit 48 hours since the pain began... feeling better, took a shower, and broke into a miserable cold sweat. I’ve been pretty much just sleeping. Just miserable.

I have food poisoning from an onion. I ate it before seeing the recall. It didn't start until 3 days after eating it. I dealt with the cold/hot routine everyone mentioned. The cramps felt like labor. My whole body hurt. I did nothing but sleep and run to the bathroom constantly the first 2 days. I'm on my third day now and I'm feeling better, but still dealing with diarrhea, and just feel blah. I've been taking activated charcoal to try and help.

I fried some eggs with butter and wrapped them in corn tortillas. Two hours later I was sitting reading about COVID-19 and all of a sudden I felt cramps in my stomach and the need to run to the toilet. I was back and forth on that toilet for an hour. I was drenched in sweat. I became nauseated on the way back to the toilet, and I sneezed like 8 times. I throw up violently 4 times. It was a light yellow color. I felt terrible and very weak. I thought for sure, it was the COVID monster, turned out to be food poisoning. I slept about 2 hours.

Back in January we were having unusually warm weather, so two of my friends and I went out for Mexican food, enjoying the sunshine on the patio. Everything was fine. I went home and after a couple of hours I started feeling nauseous from food poisoning. I took a Tums which is all I had in the house and lay down. For the next hour I was sweating and my stomach was turning. Finally I lost the battle and was so suddenly and violently ill I didn't make it to the toilet. I immediately felt better. It had to have been the Mexican food.

December of 2018, I had food poisoning from a cookout milkshake. It started around 3 am with vomiting and then diarrhea. The nausea and diarrhea lasted for about 3 days after the vomiting stopped. It was probably the sickest I have been in a while.

I had a Domino pizza at work around 1 am. Then I noticed later in the day that the coffee tasted bad. I had heart burn, stomach discomfort, soreness the watery diarrhea all day from the food poisoning.

I went to White Castle. For whatever reason one slider was incredibly moist but I had eaten it anyways. It didn't taste like grease, it was like water. Brain decides 'yo, that’s nasty'. Not even 20 minutes later, the sickness from food poisoning had invaded, the cheese on this slider sticking to the roof of my mouth revolted me. I felt tingly and sick, with stomach pain, nausea and I believe my muscles from exercising before felt more tired. Each morning for 4 days I could hardly keep anything down. My tip: ask a friend for Dank 420.

On Sunday afternoon, I ate a mushroom and Swiss burger from Hardee’s. Around 4 hours later my stomach begin to bloat and it was getting sore. Two hours later I started vomiting profusely from food poisoning. It was the worst feeling. Today is a Tuesday, my stomach is still very sore, and it hurts sometime when I try to take deep breaths.

Today I have had food poisoning, and am still trying to figure out the culprit. Dear lord, it was awful; sweat pouring off me, extreme stomach cramps, violent bright yellow bilious vomit, shivering and shaking and hugging the toilet bowl for a seemingly endless three hours. Take care of yourselves folks, and be really vigilant about what you are eating (and where from). Peace to all.

I had sudden severe nausea and diarrhea 15 minutes after eating. It was so severe I was willing myself to vomit to get 'it' out, whatever it was, but no luck. Profuse sweating everywhere, my whole body was damp, and then chills. Then it went away after about ten minutes and now I feel very weak but otherwise ok. Not sure if it was food poisoning or not but as it occurred right after eating I suspect so. My suspicion is on the eggs I ate.

I ate chicken and about 8 hours later I am puking everything up from food poisoning, can't even hold down a sip of water. I've puked about 15 to 20 times in about 12 hours, can't sleep and have a lot of diarrhea. I have had horrible cramps and I'm sweating and feel so hot then I'm suddenly getting horrible chills too. I feel terrible.

I caught food poisoning on the 28th July, 2019. It is now August 4th, 7 days, and I still have liquid diarrhea 15 times daily. I also feel very weak and tired. I have lost weight because I have hardly eaten anything, although I have not lost my appetite. I have been craving soda and tacos, two things I never eat or drink. Diarrhea is now in the 7th day is pretty much clear and odorless. I still feel terrible, kind of like body flu symptoms. I have never been sick this long, I wish it would go away soon.

I am out of country and ate steak at a restaurant at about 9:30/10 pm. The next morning I woke up to food poisoning, throwing up all day, had the chills, and felt extremely fatigued. I went to the hospital and received an IV, but that only helped for a few hours. It’s been about 48 hours since I consumed the meal and I still cannot eat anything and feel a bit fatigued. I vomited a couple hours ago after just drinking water.

Lactose free milk caused my food poisoning. It has a shelf life of up to 6 weeks, until you open it - in very tiny print. It says drink within 7 days of opening - again very tiny print. My 1st clue should have been the fact that it has a 6 week shelf life! Very miserable, on 12th hour and still having issues. I am going to get a cow and start a garden, and grow my own. I have to definitely read all labels, they also need to be larger. Watch your guts people!

I think sausage is mostly the reason I throw up because most of the times I threw up from food poisoning I ate sausage and pasta before I threw up. And I know it was not the pasta because I eat pasta a lot and I don’t throw up.

I grabbed a chicken nugget kids’ meal at 5:30 pm. The nuggets looked dry and were not all that hot. About 3 hours later vomiting started from food poisoning. I brought up the nuggets but everything else digested. I continued vomiting through the night with spells of chills and fever. Mashed potatoes and sprite helped but still came back up. I am at work very weak, light headed, with a severe headache and body aches. I am trying some ginger ale and salty pretzels. Finding it difficult to concentrate. I haven't vomited since 7:15 am.

Saturday night around 9 pm I ordered a burger and it came out pink. I sent it back and they said they recooked it but it didn't taste right. So I only had a few bites. Within 2 hours I started to feel funny and the next morning I had a headache and diarrhea from food poisoning. The next morning I woke up with the room spinning, diarrhea, severe nausea and fever, muscle aches, and then sweating. Only nausea medicines, Tylenol and Gatorade help get out of bed but the room keeps spinning.

I was getting treatment for chemotherapy (but they said that it was not caused by that). I was lying in bed and suddenly got a violent case of diarrhea. I went to the toilet for 20 minutes, I released all my body fluids, and I could only crawl to reach the phone. Ended up in the hospital for 4 days with intravenous fluids. They said I almost died but don't know what caused the food poisoning to this day!

I spent Easter with family, ate raw oyster. About 4 hours later the vomiting from food poisoning started, it was the worst case I have ever experienced. Then the diarrhea stated nonstop, weakness, shakiness, and headache. It continued all day and night. The diarrhea continued the next day. It’s been 3 days now, my stomach still hurts if I try to eat, and throat is sore from vomiting so much. I guess if not better in another two days I will consider seeing my physician. I will never eat another oyster!

I got food poisoning eating Promite on toast and crackers; 3 different times. The first time on a Wednesday, the next on Saturday, and the 3rd time a full week later. Each time I felt a hot wave wash over me before I started vomiting. The vomiting started 2 hours after consumption, with the runs. The sweats were so bad, my clothing was drenched. I felt like I was going to pass out and thought about calling the ambulance. I nearly fainted, and was panting like a dog just trying to catch my breath. Never eating Promite again!

I ate cheese and sausage from Starbucks and realizing after I had eaten five pieces of it, that it was rotten, I took it back. Within the next hour I was throwing up from the food poisoning, with diarrhea. That was yesterday and I'm still doing the same. I'm so sick, I'm still throwing up and have diarrhea.

My granddaughter and I ate the same chicken bowl except I had black beans and salsa on mine. About 4 hours later I was nauseous and dizzy from the food poisoning. She started with the vomiting. I started with the diarrhea. She is still really weak, and I am not much better. Trying to figure out how to get our strength up when nothing appeals. The thought of food is nauseating.

Five hours after eating fish I became violently ill from food poisoning, with diarrhea, nausea, extreme sweating and tingling in my arms. I also had very painful cramping. All this lasted a half hour. I slept on and off for the next 18 hours. I have never felt so sick in my life.

I am on vacation and I brought a pack of Ritz crackers from home. I opened them and ate about 4 and they tasted funny so I looked at the crackers and I could see what looked to be worms. I threw everything up and had chills, diarrhea, vomiting for the last 2 days from food poisoning. I have the worst headache I've ever had in my life. I'm weak and my entire body hurts. Now I'm slowly trying to eat maybe some crackers or toast. Awful to be sick while on vacation. I've never had food poisoning before this.

Last night while at a concert I was hungry so brought chicken tenders and fries. An hour later my stomach felt weird. At 4:30 am I ran to the bathroom vomited the chicken and fries, and also had diarrhea from the food poisoning. I can't say how many times I've taken hot baths. My body aches, I have chills, still have diarrhea, and vomited once. I've been drinking apple juice and Gatorade, and it's been staying down, thank goodness! Oh, and I'm sleeping a lot!

I ate at a Chinese buffet type restaurant I had ate some raw oysters. I woke up out of a dead sleep vomiting everywhere because of food poisoning. About an hour later the diarrhea started. I tried to sip on a coke and ginger ale. But it kept coming up. I lost track of time, my girlfriend kept asking me to go to the hospital, but I would say no. Finally after doing this for two days she just dressed me and took me. I was having a high fever along with severe stomach cramps, I had no idea who anyone was or where I was.

Just recently (last night) I ordered Chinese food and later was vomiting it up because of food poisoning. So now, this morning I continued to do it. Chills, nausea and diarrhea has occurred also. I am light headed also.

Food poisoning may be what I am experiencing now. I ate some leftover sausage at work last night about 6 pm. By 8 pm I began to develop a stomach ache and queasiness. By the time I got home and lay down, the room began to spin, and I leaned over and threw up all over. At first, I was bringing up everything I'd eaten that day, including the sausage and peppers, then went to clear brown several times, then clear mucus, and then greenish-yellow bile. The nausea is still not relieved and I still need to vomit.

I got some fresh scallops at the Food Market. I rinsed them and seared them in butter. They tasted fine but when I finished, the nausea from food poisoning began. I never threw up. Since I am on narcotic medication which causes constipation I never had bathroom problems either. Since I contained everything, I have been sick for 4 days. I am weak and cannot eat. I am now drinking a little. My stomach pain is gone. I had fever then chills. This is awful. No scallops ever again! It is way worse than a flu.

I suspect that a chicken and veggie platter that I ate at a family picnic were the culprits of my food poisoning. Within hours, I felt a ghastly, wrenching sensation in my stomach and intestines. For hours, my stomach muscles cramped and contorted in unimaginable ways before the final 'explosion'. The pain was so pronounced that, at one point, I almost called the paramedics. This is day 4, and I still struggle to eat without an accompanying discomfort. I wouldn't wish this on anyone but my worst enemy.

I went to a barbeque at a friend's house on the 4th of July. I ate 1 burger, piece of corn, and some macaroni salad. By 9 that night I had a fever and felt weak. I woke up out of my sleep with diarrhea so bad I didn’t make it to the bathroom on 12 occasions, it would just come out on its own with no warning. Everything I drank I vomited back up. It's been 48 hours and I still feel like death. This food poisoning episode has been awful. I'm afraid to eat any foods unless I make it myself. I've been drinking Pepto-Bismol with no luck.

The symptoms of food poisoning started about 5 days ago on a Friday. It was a frozen TV tray dinner that I ate, don’t remember the brand as it was prepped for me by my wife. I had no issues till about three in the morning. I had the most horrible feeling ever right out of a dead sleep, I jumped out of bed freaking out because my stomach was aching like crazy and I had difficulty breathing. I thought to myself this is it, I’m dying, as I’m puking my guts out but absolutely nothing came out. I was more like dry heaving and spitting up acid. I ended up going to the hospital and I was prescribed nausea pills which do nothing for you. So it’s been 5 days and I’m still throwing up, less than the first night but still very uncomfortable. I get chills, sweat, migraines, abdominal tightness, back aches, nausea, all in all an uneasy feeling. All the pills I was prescribed isn’t doing anything.

My husband ate coleslaw (restaurant prepared) which didn't look or taste like it usually does. I immediately stopped eating it though he continued. Within 24 hours he's weak with diarrhea, and hoping this food poisoning effect doesn't last long!

I went to lunch with a family member, and had steak and baked potato and salad. When the meal arrived, after having very little of it something didn’t taste right. So I didn’t eat much more. Around a few hours later I wasn't feeling good. I lay down in bed and was getting a very bad tummy ache. I couldn’t relax, and finally it started around midnight. I got so sick, and the diarrhea was horrible. I have never felt like this before; thought I was dying. I made attempts to reach the bathroom four different times and never made it; oh my goodness, what a horrible mess! After 2 days I was still having nausea and such pain across my tummy I called the doctor. He prescribed nausea pills to take for two days and if pain or nausea was still there I had to have culture done. Now it is the third day, pain in the tummy is still there, and it hurts terribly. I need to follow up with the doctor again.

Within 6 hours of eating Chinese food take out from a local restaurant my husband and I were both sick. I started first with diarrhea, then vomiting. My husband started within an hour after I started vomiting. I had chills and a terrible headache. That lasted about 10 hours. Eventually we were just left with nausea and extreme fatigue from the food poisoning.

Do not buy the packaged salads from the deli department of the grocery store! You have zero idea on how sanitary the preparation was! I ate the salad and by the next day my stomach felt like it had a bowling ball inside! By that night the runs began and continued all night until I was empty. Along with shivers and headache it was horrible, and messy. Lesson learned: buy your own salad ingredients and wash them yourself!

I had diarrhea the day before I got the terrible stomach pain and vomiting from food poisoning. I've never vomited more than once before. Usually I vomit and then feel better. This time I vomited 7 times over the span of 10 hours. The pain was crazy! Then I had leg and buttock cramps. I took ibuprofen and kept drinking as much water as I could. After two days of this I felt better, although I was still weak and my abdomen was sore from all the vomiting.

I woke up early in the morning (3:30) with nausea which eventually became 'throw up'. Since then I have thrown up about 9 times; the last one just now at 11 AM. Diarrhea began shortly after the first throw up episode and I have had probably 12 to 13 episodes, the last one around 10:45 AM. I have not eaten anything, took Pepto-Bismol around 7:30 AM, but threw it up shortly afterwards. I had a clear drink similar to Sprite which resulted in the 11 AM throw up episode. I have chills, but no pain, and my tongue and teeth are black. Last meal was 2 BBQ hotlinks (fresh) and Spanish rice made from a packet of dried rice with seasoning. I had purchased it over a year ago, and feel this may be the cause. I have had food poisoning in the past, but it never lasted this long.

I went to breakfast this morning with my church group to a local restaurant. I had eggs, sausage, home fried potatoes and biscuit. A bowl of gravy came with it. Within two hours after eating I had very bad diarrhea, and vomiting (both at the same time), profuse sweating and dizziness which lasted about an hour. I was very weak and cold because of the food poisoning. I went to bed under an electric blanket and slept for 3 1/2 hours. I haven't had any more diarrhea but have had very bad cramping and when I sit on the toilet, thinking I will have diarrhea, bright red blood runs out of my bottom. This has happened several times in the last 3 hours.

My daughter started vomiting at about 10 pm last night and vomited every 45 to 60 minutes until this morning. She went to the toilet about 8 this morning and had diarrhea and hasn't vomited since but hasn't moved from the lounge and has slept on and off. She has had Hydralyte but can't eat anything and says she feels light headed and extremely weak. She had a fever on and off throughout the night and day. Hopefully we'll get some sleep tonight!

My husband and I ate chicken sandwich from Burger King. It did not look or taste like chicken but we were in the middle of moving and in a hurry. Both were sick from food poisoning for days. Glad we have two bathrooms.

My husband had food poisoning after eating a hamburger and is throwing up and has major diarrhea. I don’t know what he should do other than hydrate.

After coming through surgery 2 weeks ago, the very next day I couldn't stop vomiting. I was told it was from the anesthesia, now another whole week later, August 24th I'm experiencing another episode of nausea and vomiting, I think from food poisoning.

Friday and Saturday I felt fine. Sunday morning about 12:30 AM I threw up and then again at 2:30 AM that same morning I threw up. I was fine all day Sunday until about 8:30 PM I threw up a little bit. My stomach still hurt all day Monday and it felt a little better when I went to bed on Monday night but then again Tuesday when I woke up my stomach still hurt really bad. I am not sure if food poisoning is what’s causing my stomach to still keep hurting but I’m not throwing up anymore.

I purchased spinach quiche from a local grocery store. Within a 12 hour period, I knew it was Salmonella food poisoning as I have had it once before. I had projectile vomiting and diarrhea same time, with severe dehydration and I was barely able to move. I had to lie still and wait for a modicum of energy to get water and something with potassium [cranberry juice] to replenish my muscles.

I had nausea vomiting watery diarrhea about 3 hrs after I ate. It was Mexican food with veggies, chicken and a glass of water. The vomiting and diarrhea were continuous every 15 minutes for 3 hours until I went to the hospital. I eventually became dizzy after all the fluid loss. They rehydrated me and gave anti nausea meds and eventually sent me home with more nausea meds. The diarrhea continued but vomiting subsided.

I ate out at a fried chicken place and got violently sick I was vomiting weak and couldn't stand diarrhea, dry mouth slurred speech and had to be rushed to the hospital. You never want to experience food poisoning.

My husband ate out at a $30 burger place. He always orders his burgers cooked medium. About an hour after he ate he started feeling strange. The diarrhea began along with vomiting and severe abdominal pains. He called an ambulance for fear of food poisoning and spent an evening in the hospital on an IV. He unfortunately had to get on a plane the next day. I await him from out of town, preparing with Gatorade, toast, rice and wheat bread as this wonderful website suggested. I was eating mango all day yesterday, not consuming any food. In bed last night I started vomiting. I wonder if this food poisoning.
