I bloat a lot and belch gas from my mouth. I feel pain in my upper mid and right side of abdomen. After USG (ultrasound sonography) doctor told me it is fatty liver grade 1. Now I am eating vegetables, potato boiled with rice. I walk 5 km daily and have not eaten spicy foods for last 3 months. Going good.

I am insulin resistant and can't lose weight. I have had pain in my abdomen when palpated, bloating, reflux, and chronic fatigue for decades. I asked my doctor to check for fatty liver disease which when reviewing my records was diagnosed years ago but not disclosed. Doctors kept telling me when my blood sugar levels were down the fatigue would go away. My blood sugar has been 7.5ish for over a year and HDL is also down. I just learned I have ovarian cysts and fibroids.

Upper stomach swelling, yellowing of the eye and pain were my symptoms of fatty liver disease.

I felt something odd in my liver area when I lay down on my right side. It didn't hurt, but it felt wrong. I got blood work and ultrasound done. It showed my liver enzymes was just above the average and the ultrasound showed fatty liver. I ate horribly but wasn't horribly out of shape, just a little gut. After reading about it I started working out 5 to 6 days a week and did a 180 in my diet. Lost 30 lb. in 3 months. Light pain still there but no other symptoms yet. Feeling ok for now.

I have a constant sick to my stomach feeling, I get pains in my upper abdomen and in my chest/breast area. I have been having severe itching in my palms and on the bottoms of my feet. I am exhausted all the time and my hair is falling out severely. I most recently went to the emergency room as I actually thought I could be having a heart attack as the pains inside my chest would not go away. My chest x-ray showed enlarged liver and spleen, a number of lesions on my liver and a diagnosis of hepatic steatosis (fatty liver disease). This week I have had further testing to include MRI of the abdomen without and with IV contrast. I go today to my physician for a follow up to the additional tests.

I have experienced several episodes of enteropathy, loss of appetite, and lethargy, which are symptoms of fatty liver. My liver enzymes are normal.

I visited the emergency room Thursday because of intense stomach pain beneath my breastbone. I had and still do find difficulties eating, belched frequently and had loose stools. I thought I had an ulcer or hernia. The pain began about two months ago. The CAT scan showed a fatty liver. I see my doctor Monday. I will request an endoscopy. I don't think I have any immediate symptoms relating to the diagnosis of the fatty liver.

I was admitted to the hospital following symptoms of dehydration, orange urine, nausea and vomiting, lack of appetite, abdominal bloating and general gastric problems. I also had jaundice of the eyes. I was diagnosed with alcohol induced hepatitis and following a CT, fatty liver. I also have hypothyroidism that went undiagnosed for a long time which I think had a play in the buildup of fat in my liver. I have bad gastric reactions to foods with gluten (corn, rice) and many meats too (beef, pork), so I avoid those foods. I had and continue to be malnourished. I think the flora in my gut is off balance and it is hard to digest food (formerly had C. difficile). I take probiotics for that. Since quitting drinking following diagnosis, my stomach has decreased in size by many inches. I have severe stretch marks left. They class fatty liver as either alcoholic or non-alcoholic. My liver levels are tested regularly and my most recent liver ultrasound was normal except for the still fatty liver. I will always do as much as I can to avoid another 5 day hospital stay! I wonder if fatty liver causes confusion. I still feel mentally fogged. I used to take vitamin E to help repair my liver, but read it can lead to a buildup of fat in the liver.

I am 23 years old and I have fatty liver. One day suddenly I had pain in my lower abdomen. My mother took me to the hospital for a little checkup, and blood test and ultrasonography were done. Ultrasonography reports that I have fatty change in the liver grade 1 and slightly increased parenchymal echogenicity. And after six months the result is still the same with normal jaundice. I do not drink alcohol, do not eat meat or drink milk my whole life.

I went in for a CT of my lungs and they told me I had a fatty liver. I guess I would have never known otherwise.

Recently I was found to have elevated GGT (gamma glutamyl transferase). Liver biopsy in past prior to a diagnosis of autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AHA) showed some fatty liver. Possible Gilbert's syndrome. Splenectomy was done to control AHA. I have a history of ulcerative colitis prior to AHA. No alcohol or weight issues. I exercise approximately 1.5 hours per day. Diet is healthy with occasional treats. Only medication is folic acid at present. Past treatment was with prednisone, Imuran and cyclosporine to control autoimmune conditions.
