My son was hit in the eye by the neighbor's firework that burned parts of his face and injured his eye. At the emergency room (ER) they flushed with lots of fluids and sent him to a hospital with an ophthalmologist. Once there, they checked again and he had a test done to see if he could see. They asked him the letters from a chart, a chemical strip test and he waited 3 hours to see an eye professional. Once done they gave him medicines and sent him home; no patch, no nothing and no date to return. Not sure that is normal. Meanwhile he can’t see.
My friend threw her hair brush and it accidentally hit my eyes. I felt pain, but after an hour I feel better. But after 2 days I felt my eyes starting to hurt and there is a little bit of redness on the side of my eyes. I feel so scared.
I fell and hit the side of my face and eye. The side of my eye is black and blue, but no pain; feels like something in the bottom of my eyelid.
I accidentally ran the brush through my hair and into my eye. Painful! My eye is throbbing, watering and burning. I used an eye wash as well as stuck my head under the faucet and ran water into my eye gently but when I stop it starts burning until I close my eye. I don’t know what to do.
One of my 3 month old chicks was sitting on my shoulder while I was reading a text and suddenly she pecked my eyeball. It startled me more than anything but today I have scleral hemorrhage along with pain and spasms in the spot I was pecked. My vision is fine and it feels just slightly scratchy. However when I bend over or even barely touch my eyelid the pain skyrockets.
I accidentally got bleach in my right eye while I was trying to do my laundry. My eye was stinging and burning. I rinsed it with lots of water for about 30 minutes and then went to the hospital. The ophthalmologist said there was no damage to my cornea. Right now I am applying eye drops including antibiotics and diclofenac.
My son was assaulted a year ago which caused his eye to rupture. Lens was dislodged. Surgery occurred 5 hours after with sutures placed 9 to 3 o'clock. The eye has healed well. Pressures are great. He can see bright light, his peripheral vision works and he can see the largest letter in the office. He was also given contacts for that eye which directed the light properly in that eye and it was amazing. His eye stopped kicking out, he could see enough to drive with that one eye only and he was ecstatic. The problem is that after wearing the contact lens one day, he felt discomfort and extreme redness in his eye. He would not use the contact lens again. I wonder if he can have any kind of surgery to stop the horizontal double vision. And, because his eye ball is a different shape after the surgery, perhaps lenses can be placed in to help him with his vision as well since we know he can have those things with a contact lens. I am desperate to find a great ophthalmologist anywhere in the US that would examine him and give us any hope.
I went to look out the window and caught a nail that had been put in the window frame to hold the curtain back. It was right at eye level. I had lots of pain and pulled back off the nail, took a shower and applied ice. I think it entered or poked me around the tear duct and eyeball. I can see but my vision is blurry as if looking through a bubble. My eye is itching, and when I cover the uninjured eye the hurt seems to be ok. I have no insurance so I don’t know what to do next.
Foreign body in my eye was removed, resulting rust ring removed, and my vision is still blurry 8 months later.
I poked a dull object in my eye pushing the eyeball into socked approximately 1/4 in.
