I am 47 years young. I been having dizziness for about six weeks now and don’t know who I need to see for this problem. I have been to the doctor three times, been to physical therapy doing their treatment, and nothing fixed the problem. I am dizzy all day every day. When I sit up I feel it, when I lay down I feel dizzy, turning my head I feel dizzy, and walking I feel dizzy. I get headaches in front of my head and in the back of my head. I just don’t know what to do and doctors not helping at all.
This is my fourth day feeling dizzy and light headed. First night I was about to lie down on the bed when I got my first and hopefully my last episode of vertigo. I went to the doctor next day and all blood work is pretty normal (a bit high on cholesterol is about it). I cannot remain standing for long since it worsens the feeling; as if I were drugged. Doctor said my ears looked perfectly normal. My doctor is sending me to get a brain MRI but is dealing with insurance company. In the meantime I cannot make it stop! It is driving me crazy! The only time I feel ok is when I am sleeping.
Dizziness happens to me when I get up too fast or bend over to pick up something from the floor or sometimes just turn my head in a different direction too fast.
I felt dizziness 11 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. Both the times I felt dizziness. I really am worried after I went to the hospital and the doctor said my blood pressure is 190. I don’t know if this is the only problem for my dizziness or any other problem.
I wonder if traveling across continents can cause dizziness.
