We found out base of tongue stage IV. 1-15-2013. He thought his left tonsil was enlarged and felt tender. I made him make and appointment with our local ENT. Although only two years earlier we had a scare! The whole left side of his face was swollen. After a biopsy and two scans later the doctor told us he had no signs of cancer so go live your life. There were 35 treatments. He had thrush the whole time and he lost over 80 lbs. He went into diabetic shock and spent four days in the hospital because of it.

I was diagnosed for throat cancer by the Costa Rican Medical system. The lab tech took a blood test and placed a cotton swab in my throat to take a sample.
