I was diagnosed with stage 2 esophageal cancer a few months ago (October 2016). I have had chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I will have an esophagectomy in a couple of weeks. So far endoscopy and scans show no spreading into lymph nodes or other areas. I am cautiously optimistic I could be one of the lucky ones to have caught this somewhat early.

I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2011. I have had Ivor Lewis esophagectomy and radiochemotherapy, but at the latest gastroscopy the cancer had recurred. I am convinced that it is unbeatable now as I have no options left.
