Years ago I fell and broke my wrist in two places. I wore a cast for about 6 weeks. After it healed and the cast was removed, I later realized that my pinky finger was broken also because I could not straighten it out. Wonder if the doctor can rebreak it and straighten it back out. Also wondering if this can be done in the doctor's office and if will they put me to sleep.

I broke my finger tip at work. Broke the bone right in the middle of the fingertip and the first knuckle. Doctor put a pin in it but didn't splint or cast it. After two week checkup it looked like it shifted, by looking at x-ray. Two weeks later he took the pin out and said he was happy how it's healing but it certainly doesn't feel very stable and it's been five weeks. I can’t understand why he would not splint my finger after pinning it (this is my right ring finger). I'm afraid it's going to break again very easily.
