I have been telling my doctors for the past 6 months about this abdominal pain, but today I got nausea really fast. On my right side, upper to lower back to middle of my shoulder, it is like a really bad burning, like a fireball. The side where it starts, feels like a really sharp stabbing pain that takes me to my knees. I told her this pain is bad and I can’t even sleep with it. I rock myself to sleep, and even when I sit up, I feel it. It’s not normal.

I have what feels like pressure or bloating in my lower abdomen. It is a dull abdominal pain however, when I bend over to pick something up. I feel lots of pressure. Unbuttoning my pants or taking my belt off will give a bit of relief. Im 6' 2” and weigh 185 lb. This has been happening for a couple weeks now. I am looking for some advice on things to do with my diet or any home remedies. I am getting in to see a doctor during these times are near impossible.

I went to the emergency room (ER) yesterday for abdominal pain and lower back pain. I was feeling dizzy and haven’t had an appetite and when I do eat my stomach hurts again. But they did CAT scan, X-ray and blood work, and it was all clear. But I’m still having that problem, also with congestion. The doctor couldn’t figure out what the problem was so sent me home. I don’t know what to do, I’m no doctor but wonder if it’s an ulcer. I have lost work days also because of this.

I have abdominal pain under my right rib cage. It can come from gluten, even if you test negative for celiac. If you have Hashimoto’s disease, do not eat gluten. It looks like the antibodies. My pain and other gastric symptoms are cured.

For about 1 year I’ve had intermittent, mild, sometimes dull but sometimes sharp pain in my lower right abdomen (above my rip hip bone). It comes and goes randomly but is worse if I’m full. It only hurts when I suck in or put pressure on it or stretch in a way that puts pressure on it. CT scans revealed a small stone in the kidney, 2 mm only, and tight renal cysts compressing the right pelvis. No treatment was done. I am 20 weeks pregnant. Pain still comes and goes but no other symptoms.

Quite often as I sit down, I get a shooting pain which goes up my buttock to my abdomen. I’m a healthy person but had problems with my bowels in the past. I’m a size 12 now, I have never need to exercise. I have a good life outside work, always on the go. But as I have said I had problems with the bowels and had 2 operations in the past 2 1/2 years.

I woke up the morning of January 20, 2020 and from then on I couldn't eat anything. I went from being 196 to 144 within three months. I was losing 10 pounds within 2 weeks. The left side of my body goes completely numb, my abdominal pain and stomach cramps are so severe it keeps me bent over in pain. I've had every test imaginable and nothing has been found. I still can't eat and it's October 10, 2020.

I have a burning rubbing sensation under my left ribs. The abdominal pain feels like something is pushing from the inside. I have had endoscopy and colonoscopy with only one small polyp (benign). I am 52, female and have some gastrointestinal issues occasionally. I have occasional diarrhea but sometimes urgency with bowel movements. I have a history of anxiety and depression, although it seems controlled in recent years. I have high blood pressure that started 2 years ago. Had abdominal CT today and results pending. Nervous.

In 2013 I was diagnosed with Clostridium difficile colitis. I was treated for 6 months with vancomycin, Flagyl (allergy). No matter what, it didn’t go away. I had a fecal transplant in May of 2019 that seems to have finally helped the C. difficile. It took my diarrhea down from 18 a day down to between 9-12. Through it all, I had a pain that would be fairly constant on my left side from under the rib to the top of my pubis. I would feel swollen and in pain and it would hurt to move. No one can explain it.

They say I have chronic constipation, however I go to the bathroom every day at least once, and it is normal, not hard. About every 8 or 12 weeks I get an abdominal pain that starts under my right breast and travels downward. It takes three days or more for the pain to complete the journey, and during this time I am in so much pain I can’t walk, don’t eat, have broken out in cold sweats and vomited. I miss work. The doctor has run all kinds of test including a liver biopsy.

I have abdominal pain around the ribs and just below my breasts. It’s awful, makes me feel sick, and I am unable to move with it. I am taking tablets for IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), increased to two a day. Every time I eat something the pain starts.

Comment from: Essy, 45-54 Female (Patient) Published: January 24

I have had right lower abdominal pain since February 2014. When it started I thought I had an ectopic pregnancy because of the pain intensity. I went to my general physician (GP) and had an ultrasound scan, abdominal and transvaginal, and nothing abnormal was detected. I have since had a CT scan, MRI and colonoscopy, and all good. I am however still in pain, it's not always intense but it is always there. It now radiates to my heel, and I am scared to go to the GP now as they say it's all in my head.

I’m 49 years of age. I had a stroke 5 years ago where I had no paralysis afterwards other than losing my speech. But since then my entire stomach hurts. I’ve went to my doctor they did CT, ultrasound, scopes and said everything is normal. It continues to hurt. My abdominal pain usually comes on only when I sleep, lying down. The doctor said it’s IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and to watch what I’m eating.

My abdominal pain began two and a half years again as a niggle in my mid upper abdomen. Now it is a raging, nauseating, dizzying chronic pain that has dragged me down. Laparoscopy, bowel resection and countless tests including gastroscopy found nothing. Sometime I feel like I am going to pass out. I don’t know what I can do to get help!

I had abdominal hysterectomy on July 2, and I have an infection abscess in the lower stomach near my colon. I had an ovarian cyst with blood clot, antibiotics caused vaginitis. I also had pimples-like rash in the vaginal area, and bladder infection. Antibiotics then lowered my pelvic pain, yellow discharge, fever, nausea, throbbing pain in the right side under ribs, shooting pain on the left side of my stomach, dry mouth, dehydration, dizziness, chills, and pain in my lower back. I had loose stools, rapid heart rate, difficulty breathing. Serotonin syndrome is past history; and insomnia.

This time the abdominal pain is in the right-hand side of my abdomen and I also have lower back pain. I wonder if this could this be something other than a UTI.

I am having regular bowel movement everyday so I am not constipated, but today I did start my period - which rules out being pregnant, but also contributes to slight bloating, but not all for the past 2 weeks! I have tried to cut out bread, milk, etc., but having no luck with any less bloating.

I feel pain sometimes in my lower right abdomen. I went to see a doctor and he told me it’s a kidney stone. I took some medicine which he prescribed, after some days the pain stopped, and then came back again. I went back, they did a scan and told me that nothing is wrong with me, though it is weird to me because I feel pain. I don’t feel sick, I don’t vomit or go to toilet often, I feel normal but it still pains, not every day though. I don’t have appendix.

My pain started in the upper right quadrant abdomen right underneath my ribs on the right side about 4 years ago. I would get it occasionally when I turned a certain way but it has progressively gotten worse. Now the pain goes from up there all the way down to my lower abdomen and it feels like somebody is stabbing me in several places at the same time. Once the initial attack is over the pain lingers there like pulled muscles or something for the rest of the day. It's getting so much worse.

It’s very uncomfortable and I look like I’m a couple months pregnant but I’m not. My doctor told me to “buck up” and never ran any tests on me at all. She just changed my birth control.

I have lower abdomen pain, in the area centered above the pubic bone. I had blood tests and scan, but nothing showed up. I have just been given antibiotics, Enantyum 25 mg and 4 hourly painkillers, Nolotil and cefixime. It is a great deal of pain and nothing takes it away. In the hospital I was given drips of Nolotil which eased it slightly. It kind of feels like a bad period pain. In another week my doctor is getting me to do yet another urine test, but also another to grow a culture on.

I have bulging left side, and a sudden abdominal pain hasn't let up for over an hour. It is spreading to the right, and feels like muscles are split. I lifted things too heavy today. Pain only gets worse. I can't stand up or turn right. I can't lift my right leg without the pain.

I’ve had surgery 3 months ago, to remove my ovaries. Since then I’ve had bad stomach pains in the morning with an urgent need to move my bowels, and I have constant pain in my back on the right side.

On my left side about my hip I have deep abdominal pain, especially in the morning getting up. It's with me most of days, lets up usually, and then like right now, comes back. It hurts to move.

I am a 44 years old female. Fourteen years back, I had cystectomy bilaterally and had the ovaries removed. Now my menses are a little irregular, twice a month, with cramps in the lower left abdomen.
